I love the photos of Carlsbad in this blog. The post was dated August 12 so this is since the caverns had to be closed down. The author (Sporkhashi) talks about her experiences, what she saw and the wonder of the caverns.

Her feelings of awe regarding Carlsbad Caverns are similar to mine. It's been a couple of years now since I've been. I need to plan another trip there. Last time I was there the park ranger told me they were going to begin changing the lighting. I don't know if they've begun that as of yet.
