On the Road Again… Stopping at Lordsburg

I drove to Lordsburg, NM yesterday on my way to Sedona. Today I’ll arrive in my final destination.

I stopped at the DaysInn here in Lordsburg. I chose this motel because there was a coupon in one of those little magazines you find in gas stations on the road. They had a good price plus allowed my 2 little Shih Tzus for $10.00 total extra. If you call in before hand they also gave me a $3.00 additional discount.

The room is OK for the price. The staff very friendly. The rug needs to be cleaned. There are many spots on the rug which I’m guessing are pet stains. Just be aware of this if walking barefoot on the rug… which of course you are going to do.

I wanted to see if there was anything of interest in Lordsburg and found the video below. I had no idea there was a POW camp here. Turns out this is also where some loyal Japanese Americans were kept here. The people in our country became so fearful of anyone Japanese once Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.
