My Photo of Cathedral Rock

The camera captures the image to bring my soul back to Cathedral Rock

This is one of my photos of Cathedral Rock. One of the most important things I've learned about photography is the importance of using a tripod. No matter how carefully you hold the camera it will jiggle. The tripod keeps that from happening. Even a little point and shoot which I have can have much better pictures using the stabilization of the tripod.

I'm sure I could have photo shopped the image and make it better. Unfortunately, I barely know how to change the image size so that I can upload it to the blog.

The day I took this was cool and crisp. The sun was just coming up over the peak of the rocks. I have some shots of the dazzle of the sun from another area.

When I put down my camera I can simply look in wonder at the exquisite creation before me. There are trails to walk upon, some difficult and others easy. All, of course, require that you watch your feet as the ground is uneven. It is the outdoors, after all! I will be back in Sedona in November. I am so looking forward to it.

Below is the photo taken earlier with the sun coming up. I actually used the "sharpen" tool in the software.
